Learn how to bake sourdough! This class is an introduction to the experience of baking sourdough bread with the beginner or intermediate baker in mind. Classes focus specifically on the benefits of baking with whole grains and provide tips and tricks for improving your home baking experience.

In this 4 hour class, you will learn the basics of feeding and maintaining a healthy starter, and you will learn how to bake sourdough bread, focaccia, buns and pizza from scratch. This includes hands on instruction from our professional bakers.

 

Included in the class price is a jar of your choice of Sourdough Starter form our large library of yeast, a round banneton, a bench scraper and in depth recipes.

You will also have an introduction to scoring techniques on a loaf to bake in class to take home and you will leave with a shaped loaf in your new banneton to bake at home. 

Our process for making bread is ancient and intuitive based on our experience, science, art, and philosophy.
